About Legacy

Legacy is an elective class offered to Sophmores, Juniors, and Seniors at Nipmuc Regional High School. The class is a self-motivated, research and project based class in which students are allowed to select any topic of their choosing. Once they’ve selected a topic, (Mine was Spacecraft Design) they then research their subject for a majority of the year before transitioning into a project based around it. All the while the students are regularly updating their website portfolios with their weekly progress. This class appealed to me because it gave me the opportunity to learn at my own pace and to learn about a subject that genuinely interested me, which was an opportunity I haven’t really had thus far.
